Hary Tanoesoedibjo - President Commissioner

Hary Tanoesoedibjo

Born in Surabaya in 1965. Hary Tanoesoedibjo has served as President Commissioner of PT Media Nusantara Citra Tbk since 30 September 2016, by the decision of the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders, set forth in the Deed of Meeting Decisions No. 70 dated 30 September 2016. Currently, he also serves as President Director of PT Global Mediacom Tbk (since 2002), President Commissioner of PT MNC Sky Vision Tbk (since 2006) and President Director of PT Rajawali Citra Televisi Indonesia (2003-2008 and 2010-present).

He is the founder, controlling shareholder and chairman of MNC Group which focuses on the following business activities: financial investments, media, financial services and property development.

In MEDIA, the group owns and controls the largest media asset in SEA, comprising of four national free to air televisions (RCTI, MNCTV, GTV and iNews), the largest DTH Pay-TV (MNC Vision), fixed broadband network and IPTV (MNC Play) and OTT services (MNC Now). Other media includes general and news portals (Okezone,,, Koran Sindo, national radio networks and some digital applications.

In FINANCIAL SERVICES, the group owns MNC Bank, MNC Life & Insurance, MNC Finance & Leasing, MNC Securities & Asset Management.

In PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT, the group owns the most prestigious entertainment & lifestyle project in MNC Lido City with its iconic Trump project and themepark. Other property projects include MNC Smart City, MNC Trump Bali, Westin Hotel Bali, Park Hyatt Jakarta, Oakwood Surabaya and a few office buildings in Jakarta dan Surabaya. He obtained his Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada in 1988 and an MBA from Ottawa University in 1989 and regularly served as a speaker at various national and international media events, as well as lecturer in the form of general lecture in more than 180 universities covering entrepreneurship and economy. He’s active in sports where he served as the general treasurer of KONI in 2003-2006 and is now the chairman of the Indonesian Futsal Federation and the Tarung Derajat.

There is a direct affinity between Hary Tanoesoedibjo and Angela Herliani Tanoesoedibjo as family members.


Adam Chesnoff - Commissioner

Adam Chesnoff

An American citizen born in 1965, Adam Chesnoff has held the role of Commissioner for the Company based on the decision of the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders dated 12 December 2011, and was formalized in the Deed of Statement of Meeting Resolution No. 49 dated 12 December of the same year. Being both President and Chief Operating Officer of Saban Capital Group, Inc., he is responsible for overseeing the Company’s investment and business activities, including private equity and public market investments.

He also currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Celestial Tiger Entertainment.

In addition, he co-formed and directed the investment group that acquired a controlling stake in ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG, Germany’s largest television group. He formerly served as Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of ProSiebenSat.1 (2003-2007).

Previously, he spent 5 years at Fox Family Worldwide (FFWW) where he oversaw business development across all global divisions, including television channels, programming, production, international distribution and merchandising.

From 1994 to 1995, he worked in the Business Affairs and Corporate Development groups at Sony Pictures Entertainment and Columbia Pictures, where he focused on strategic planning, financial analysis, deal structuring and new business development in the Motion Picture and Television divisions.

He is a graduate of UCLA’s Anderson School of Business (MBA, 1994).


Sutanto - Independent Commissioner


An Indonesian citizen born in 1950. Drs. Sutanto has been serving as Independent Commissioner of the Company since 12 December 2011. The appointment was stated on the Deed of Statement of Meeting Resolution No.49 dated 12 December 2011.

After graduating from the Academy of Armed Forces – Police in 1973, he attended the University of Police Science (PTIK) in 1983, Police School of Staff and Leaders (Sespimpol) Bandung in 1990, and National Resilience Institute (Lemhanas) in 2000. Previously, he held several key positions, which include; Police Chief of North Sumatra Province (2000), Police Chief of East Java Province (20002002), Daily Chief of the National Drug Enforcement Body (2005), Chief of the Indonesian National Police (2005-2008), President Commissioner of PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) (2008-2009), President Commissioner of PT Pertamina (2009-2010), and the Head of the National Intelligence Body (2010-2011).

Currently, he also serves as President Commissioner of PT Ancora Indonesia Resources Tbk (since 2012), President Commissioner of PT Nusadua Graha Internasional (since 2012) and Independent Commissioner of PT Gajah Tunggal Tbk (since 2013).
