HARY TANOESOEDIBJO
President Commissioner
Indonesian citizen, Mr. Hary Tanoesoedibjo obtained his Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada in 1988, and MBA from Ottawa University, Canada in 1989.
Mr. Tanoesoedibjo is the founder and Executive Chairman of MNC Group, which focuses on four strategic investments: Media & Entertainment, Financial Services, Entertainment Hospitality, and Energy.
In media & entertainment business, Mr. Tanoesoedibjo manages 4 national FTA television networks, namely RCTI, MNCTV, GTV, and iNews, as well as the largest Pay TV services using satellite and fixed broadband networks with more than 12 million subscribers.
In the digital media and entertainment, Mr. Tanoesoedibjo also controls the largest AVOD and SVOD super apps called RCTI+ and Vision+, with content variety to include videos, news & articles, audio series, radio streaming, UGC, music, and casual games.
The group also owns various portals and news apps with total monthly active users exceeding 53 million and operates Multi-Channel Networks (MCN) on various social media with traffic of more than 1.5 billion every month.
Content production is also the group’s strength. The group produces more than 20,000 hours of best quality digital and non-digital video content every year with a library of more than 300,000 hours, owns the largest IPs, publishes more than 70,000 articles every month, uploads 500-700 video clips on the social media every day and manages more than 600 talents under its talent management (includes MCN).
In financial services sector, MNC Group has integrated conventional and digital services from banking, securities and brokerage, general and life insurance, consumer finance and leasing, asset management, fintech and payment gateway. MNC Group is currently integrating its transaction-based financial service applications such as digital banking, online trading, e-money, and e-wallet under Motion Digital.
In entertainment hospitality sector, MNC Group’s portfolio includes MNC Lido City SEZ, a world-class integrated residential, commercial, entertainment, and lifestyle area of 3,000 hectares in Lido, Greater Jakarta, with a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) permit. MNC Group also owns several office buildings and hotels such as Park Hyatt Jakarta, Oakwood Hotel and One East Penthouse & Residences in Surabaya, The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali International Convention Center, and MNC Bali Resort.
In energy sector, MNC Group controls coal mining business permits in South Sumatera, along with supporting facilities from hauling roads, weighbridge, stockpile, crusher, to coal ports.
As an established entrepreneur, Mr. Tanoesoedibjo actively advises the government and the parliament on economic matters and regularly gives speeches at various national and international events. He is also active in giving general lectures in various universities across Indonesia on the subject of entrepreneurship and strategic management. Mr. Tanoesoedibjo has a passion to groom young Indonesians to be like him. So far, he has given lectures in more than 180 universities.
Mr. Tanoesoedibjo has served as President Commissioner of PT Media Nusantara Citra Tbk since September 30, 2016, as decided in the Company’s Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders and stated in Deed No. 70 dated September 30, 2016.
He has an affiliation with a member of the Board of Directors.
MUHAMMAD ZAINUL MAJDI
Vice President Commissioner/Independent Commissioner
An Indonesia citizen, born in 1972. Muhammad Zainul Majdi has served as Vice President Commissioner and Independent Commissioner of PT Media Nusantara Citra Tbk since July 27, 2022 as decided in the Company’s Annual General Meeting of Shareholders and stated in the Deed No. 115 dated July 27, 2022.
He formerly served as Vice President Commissioner of PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (2021-2022). He also served as Governor of West Nusa Tenggara Province for two terms (2008-2013 and 2013-2018) and member of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (2004-2008).
He is also actively involved in various organizations, such as Chairman of the General Board of Nahdlatul Wathan Diniyah Islamiyah (NWDI) (2021-present) and Chair of the Al-Azhar International Alumni Organization for Indonesia (2017-present).
He obtained his Doctoral at Al-Azhar University, Cairo, in 2011.
He became a Speaker at Conference on Religion and Climate Change – South East Asia (CORECS) 2023, organized by the Al-Muslimin Hukama Council (MHM) and attended by Southeast Asian ulama.

Currently, he also serves as President Commissioner of PT MNC Vision Networks Tbk (2019 – present) and PT Indonesia Air Transport (2021 – present); as Director of Corporate Secretary MNC Group (2016 – present); as Director of PT Global Mediacom Tbk (2015 – present); Director of PT Rajawali Citra Televisi Indonesia (2009 – present) and Vice President Director of PT MNC Televisi Network (iNewsTV) (2024 – present). He also serves as Commissioner at PT MNC Televisi Indonesia (MNCTV) (2015 – present) as well as at several other subsidiaries, namely PT MNC Portal Indonesia (2022 – present), PT Infokom Elektrindo (2021 – present), PT Suara Digital Nusantara (2021 – present), PT iNews Digital Indonesia (iNews.id) (2020 – present), PT MNC Okezone Network (2018 – present) and PT Sindonews Portal Indonesia (2014 – present).
In addition to serving various important positions in these companies, he is also actively involved in various organizations, such as Day-to-Day Chairperson of the Indonesian Billiard Sports Association (PB.POBSI) (2024 - present), Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Indonesian Private Television Association (ATVSI) (2023 – present), Chairman of the Association of Producers and Distributors of Explosive in Indonesia (Asprodispa) (2021 – present), Chairman of the Jalinan Kasih Foundation – MNC Peduli (2016 – present), Chairman of the Peduli Pesantren Foundation (2015 – present), and the Indonesian Futsal Federation (FFI) as Deputy Chairman (2014 – present). Previously, he served as Deputy Chairman of PB.POBSI (2019-2023), Chairman of ATVSI (2019 – 2023), Deputy Chairman of ATVSI (2015 – 2019), Head of Scheduled Service Division of the Indonesian National Air Carriers Association (INACA) (2010 – 2014) and Deputy Chairman of INACA (2009 – 2010).

JOEL RICHARD HOGARTH
Independent Commissioner
A British citizen, born in 1976. Joel Richard Hogarth has served as Independent Commissioner of PT Media Nusantara Citra Tbk since August 26, 2020 as decided in the Company’s Annual General Meeting of Shareholders and stated in the Deed No. 105 dated August 26, 2020. Currently, he also serves as Founder and Managing Director of Eliot & Luther Strategic Advisory (April 2020-present).
Previously, he served as Group CEO of Reliance Capital (2018-2019), Director of PT Borelli Walsh (2017-2018), Partner of Ashurst LLP (2014-2016), Partner of O'Melveny & Myers LLP (2009-2014) and Legal Counsel of White & Case LLP (2000-2009).
He obtained his Master of Arts in Law, Clare College, Cambridge, in 2002.
